A One-Day Workshop for Administrators and Principals
Administrators and principals need communication tools and techniques to create positive dialogue to improve teacher and staff performance in these highly politically charged and demanding times.
This workshop provides discussion tools and specific communication techniques for improving instruction and creating a positive environment in which to dialogue about strategies for teaching and learning.
Participants learn to:
- Collaborate to define instructional strategies
- Create a shared vision for students’ educational plans
- Build agreements through open communication and reflective listening
- Review student data for effective planning
- Create action plans and implement effective follow-through for instructional planning
This workshop was created at the urging of superintendents and administrators who are responsible for teacher and staff evaluation meetings, and who felt that they simply did not possess the skills to make these conferences positive, effective, and meaningful. Evaluation conferences are key to improving instructional performance to effect student gains.
